Patient Journey: Rhinoplasty & Neck Lift
Age Range: 20-25
For years, this patient had been thinking about changing her profile.
Her biggest concern was her nose. She had always noticed the dorsal hump and felt her nose leaned slightly to one side, creating an asymmetry that caught her eye every time she looked in the mirror. While she had no breathing concerns, she had wanted to refine the appearance of her nose for quite some time.
There was one other area that bothered her just as much: her neck. She felt she carried fullness beneath her chin and described it as a “double chin” that made her profile appear less defined. Because of her age, she initially came to us expecting that neck liposuction would be the right solution.
During her consultation, we performed a detailed evaluation of her anatomy and discussed the different options available. While liposuction can be an excellent treatment for the right patient, we determined that her anatomy would be better served with a deep plane neck lift. Rather than simply removing fat, this approach would create a stronger, more defined jawline and provide a more refined, long lasting result.
To complete her profile, we also recommended rhinoplasty to straighten and refine her nose, along with subtle chin augmentation using filler to improve facial balance.
Her treatment plan included:
• Rhinoplasty
• Deep Plane Neck Lift
• Chin Augmentation (filler)
Together, these procedures worked in harmony. Rather than changing one feature, they enhanced the relationship between her nose, chin, and neck, creating a profile that looked naturally balanced from every angle.
She is still early in her healing journey, particularly with her rhinoplasty. Residual swelling is expected and will continue to improve over the coming months. Even so, her results already demonstrate how thoughtful surgical planning can make all the difference. Her neck is beautifully defined, her profile is stronger, and her nose is already more balanced and refined.
Her journey is a reminder that the best treatment plan isn’t always the one a patient expects when they first walk through the door. Sometimes, the greatest improvement comes from understanding the underlying anatomy and choosing the procedure that will create the most natural, lasting result.
