Patient Journey: Rhinoplasty
Age Range 20-30
Traveling from Little Rock, Arkansas, this patient came to us with one clear goal: she wanted to refine her nose without changing the features that made it uniquely hers.
She had never experienced nasal trauma or breathing problems. In fact, there was a lot she already liked about her nose. From the front, she felt it fit her face well and wanted to preserve that appearance. What bothered her most was her profile. She had long been self conscious about her dorsal hump and wished her nose appeared straighter and softer while maintaining her natural identity.
During her consultation, we spent time discussing exactly what she hoped to achieve. Rather than creating a completely different nose, our focus was on subtle refinement and balance. We also reviewed the structural techniques used in rhinoplasty, including the use of temporalis fascia, so she could feel confident and informed before making her decision.
Together, we developed a surgical plan that prioritized preservation of her natural features while refining the areas that concerned her most.
Her rhinoplasty focused on smoothing the dorsal hump, refining supratip fullness, elevating a slightly drooping nasal tip, improving nostril asymmetry, and creating better definition of the tip. Because of her anatomy and skin thickness, her own cartilage was used to provide lasting structural support, while a thin layer of temporalis fascia helped create a soft, smooth contour along the bridge.
Her journey is a reminder that rhinoplasty isn’t always about creating a new nose. Sometimes, it’s about preserving everything that’s already beautiful while making thoughtful refinements that allow your natural features to shine.
